Deirdre Loungway

Kindergarten English Teacher & Elementary English Coordinator

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Deirdre earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz and a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential at San Francisco State. She taught 1st and 2nd grade for many years in South San Francisco and Virginia. Before joining Shu Ren, Deirdre took time off to raise her daughters, volunteering at their schools and coaching soccer. She is excited to explore and learn alongside her Kindergarten students while sharing her love of reading and writing. Outside the classroom, she enjoys traveling with friends and family, hiking with her dogs, and getting lost in a good book.
