Devina Owens

Grade 1 English Teacher

Originally from sunny Arizona, Devina earned her bachelor’s degree in Special and Elementary Education before moving to the Bay Area over six years ago. She is entering her seventh year of teaching and is thrilled to join the Shu Ren community. Devina is dedicated to creating an inclusive, welcoming classroom where every student’s creativity and individuality can shine. She believes in the magic of learning through curiosity, connection, and kindness. Outside the classroom, she enjoys cooking new recipes, spending time in nature, and dreaming about her next travel adventure. She looks forward to a year of learning, laughter, and growth with her students.
