Douglas Palacios

Grade 3 English Teacher

Born in El Salvador and raised in Los Angeles from the age of 12, Doug has lived on four continents and brings a global perspective to his teaching. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in French Language and Literature from U.C. Berkeley and is fluent in Spanish, French, and Italian. With over 20 years of experience teaching elementary, middle, and high school students in the U.S. and abroad—including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan—he is passionate about creating learning environments where students thrive. He believes that when parents, teachers, students, and administrators bring their talents together, they can create rich and meaningful learning experiences for every child. Outside the classroom, Doug enjoys poetry, nature walks around the Bay Area, and spending time with his daughter, son, and mother.
