Rene du Toit

Grade 2 English Teacher

Originally from South Africa and born in Zimbabwe, Rene holds a bachelor’s degree in Education (Foundation Phase) and has 13 years of teaching experience across four continents: Africa, Asia, North America, and South America. For the past four years, she has been a dedicated teacher at Shu Ren, where she is passionate about the IB curriculum and Social Emotional Learning. She loves helping students grow academically and as compassionate, curious individuals. Outside the classroom, Rene enjoys spending time with her husband, their bubbly six-year-old daughter, and their adorable 16-month-old, as well as camping, traveling, and learning about different cultures.
