Dr. Lucy Yan 闫潞霞

Dr. Lucy Yan brings more than 23 years of academic and administrative leadership experience in International Baccalaureate (IB) and international schools, including over 10 years as Head of School. Her experience spans diverse educational communities and international schools, giving her a broad perspective on how schools can bring together students, families, and educators across cultures and backgrounds. She has served as an Academic Principal, Curriculum Director, and IB Chair for multi-program and synchronized evaluation visits. Now in her third year at Shu Ren, Dr. Yan is passionate about building a community where students feel a strong sense of belonging and where families and educators work in partnership to support each child’s growth. She believes that a strong sense of belonging and student agency provide the foundation for meaningful academic growth, empowering students to find their voices, take ownership of their learning, and become thoughtful, engaged global citizens.
